It’s been rough for many people since Hurricane Florence caused so much damage to Topsail Island and the surrounding area. Yet I continue to see the best for our lovely island, knowing the sun always shines again and things always work out… ♥️ Feel free to contact me if you want assistance with arranging/managing repairs for your home, administrative work, and other general tasks.

Remembering that the sun always shines again no matter how bad it looks at the moment…
It is amazing how peaceful and beautiful it is today, while we await a massive storm. The streets are empty and many homes are boarded up in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Florence. The mandatory evacuation was effective this morning at 8:00am. After leaving the island, no one can return without showing proof of residency.
It is discouraging to leave your home and belongings, not knowing if they will be there when you return. Yet safety has to be the main priority. I gathered as many of my favorite items as possible. However, the most valuable items were my cherished pictures, important documents, clothes, my son’s favorite toys (a bundle of stuffed penguins and legos), my dog, and my cat. ❤️
I am sending best wishes and positive vibes to everyone preparing for Hurricane Florence. Here’s to knowing that things always work out, and not only surviving but thriving… 🌈
Wishing everyone a Happy Earth Day from Topsail Beach, North Carolina.
The warmer weather is finally back, although cooler temperatures will return soon. Regardless, it’s a gorgeous day to be on Topsail Island!
Here is some sunshine to brighten your day! The sun is back on gorgeous Topsail Island. I’m also attaching a picture from yesterday so you can see it is a big change. Enjoy your day!
It was an interesting weekend with the changing temperatures. Friday afternoon was warm and people were enjoying the beach. It felt as if summer was close by. Children were laughing, playing, and building sand castles. People were fishing and putting up tents.
Then Saturday afternoon, the rain started and it turned cold in the evening. It was still chilly today and by 6:00pm this evening, I didn’t see anyone on Topsail Beach. Here’s to warmer weather soon! 😀
Topsail Life LLC is happy to support and promote the fundraising event this evening for Roots of Recovery. The event will include dinner, music, and a silent auction at the Assembly Building in Topsail Beach, NC. There is a lot of interest in this event and tickets are sold out.
Ria Harris, a resident on Topsail Island, organized and managed this important fundraiser. Thank you, Ria, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this event possible.
Below are flyers with more information on the Fundraiser and Roots of Recovery. (Rootsofrecovery.org)
Payton Andrews, owner of Topsail Life LLC, donated an artistic hand-crafted necklace for the silent auction. The Boho style necklace is one-of-a-kind and approximately 6 ft. in length. It is made with copper wire, gemstones, shells, and mermaid charms.
There were a good amount of shells on the beach yesterday.
Here are a few pictures of shells and stones that I found while walking on the beach.
It was another beautiful day! It’s nice to see people having fun and flying kites.
