Picture of the Week

This is one of the original “Operation Bumblebee” towers built in the 1940’s. Operation Bumblebee was a top-secret military mission, that gave the U.S. its first strategic surface-to-air missiles. Additionally, Operation Bumblebee introduced new technology that helped produce the SR-71 Blackbird and the space shuttle. The remains of the project, eight towers, and the Assembly Building contribute to the rich history of Topsail Island.

Spring Concert at North Topsail Elementary School

The Spring Concert at North Topsail Elementary School was so much fun and very entertaining! I want to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Linda Markas. She does a phenomenal job with classes and the music program! Below is a three-minute video of her original song, “I Wish You Love.” The lyrics are also included below. We love you, Mrs. Markas!

Spoiled to the Bone

Our featured business of the week is “Spoiled to the Bone,” Dog Grooming Salon in Surf City. Terri Wagner, Owner and Groomer, lovingly applies a holistic approach addressing the special needs of each dog. She also offers aromatherapy, green-grooming (shampoos and conditioners made with natural ingredients), a calming environment, and affordable prices. I highly recommend her services.
